1.3.10 We couldn't have asked for a more fertile environment for our celebrations. So looking forward to returning for futureseasons. Love your touch. Charles
Hi Kathleen! We had the most beautiful Christmas staying in your barn! The stove was cozy the entire time, we even cooked veggies on it both nights. Wish we could stay longer... We'll be back in the Spring/Summer :) Mel & Stephan http://melbarlow.blogspot.com
12/09/2009 Many thanks & fond memories— what a wonderful space you've created! Thanks for sharing your barn and your energy. We loved the bonfire— hope for many more fireworks in the future! The Travel Tripper Team Alex, Andrew, Erik & Mi
Thank you once again for the great barn, on your wonderful property. We enjoyed our time here together and the town of Tivoli... ahh! The bakery. We went over to Bard to see that fabulous Gehry building and the sundial walkway reflecting pool, sort of across from it. Happy to drive to Red Hook and see East Antiques Market, the superlative Susie and her collections. And loved Hoffman's barn in Red Hook. Ate skizza's at Grieg Farm (Gigi's) Stand... very excellent, and their new go-to version translates really well. Drove to Hudson, Saugerties... the sky was amazing, saw a rainbow as we crossed the bridge. Ate dinner at Deb's Luna 61, a must for anyone staying in the area. Love, love, love how many cats there are in Tivoli; saw a huge heron in the pond this AM.
Kathleen, Oh how we love, love, love it here. On Saturday we swam in the stream. You were right, so perfect and beautiful. We had banana cream pie from Luna's, yum! Then we played in the other waterfall, yay! Played some more in Hudson and loved it! More yummy food. Thanks we love you! Diane and Dari
9/4—9/7/09 Kathleen Another wonderful and head-clearing get-away for us "Wagner-guys." Thank you so much for opening your space to us & giving us an outlet to explore ourselves, it is greatly appreciated. Wagner College Men's Group Andy
7/11/09 Kathleen— Greg & I enjoyed ourselves immensely. Each day, we would discover newness in the barn & on the grounds, which infused our vacation with so much excitement and inspiration. Thank you for so lovingly decorating the place. Last night, after our fire, we ventured out towards the changing-light globe (red-green-blue); we've been curious about it. What awaited us was a magical moment: above us hundreds of stars and in the trees encircling us fireflies everywhere! This morning we end our stay in front of the stream. Thank you for being a gracious and open host! NAMASTE Mary & Greg (1st good sign)
June 27—July 7, 2009 Kathleen~ What a wonderful week we have had in Tivoli, the Barn–the weather, yes, even the rain, has been such a respite from the Oklahoma heat— we shared much fun with our kids and friends here— we will miss open windows at night, the bubbling stream & all the character & charm of the Barn— we loved being so close to Kayce's place & her farm, Awesome Farm. Peace to you
15-04-09 When is a barn not a barn? When it's a three storey adventure funhouse for kids - when it's a woodsy chillout zone for stressed-out urbanites - When it's a cosy hothouse in a rainstorm - When it's zen quiet, smokey soft, and soothingly still. Thanks Kathleen, Ken
1/04/09 The charm of the Barn was just how we imagined it to be. We stayed toasty warm through the night as promised. We completely enjoyed (and needed) our "in barn" massages by Anne. Thank you for all the kindness and hospitality. Hope to visit again soon. Andrea & Lora
12/31/08—1/2/09 Thanks, Kathleen! The barn was warm and welcoming on a 5º New Year's Eve, just as we'd hoped ti would be. Thanks for your patience & coordination at the last minute, and thanks for providing us with an amazing last impression of '08 and a dazzling start to '09. Hope you find what you're looking for in the New Year, when we hope to return... Cheers! Jody & Julia
We loved returning to the barn! Even when brief, it is a lovely escape. Nola - 4 1/2 - woke up here and said it was "magical" With love & thanks David, Marielie & Nola
11/30/08 I will never forget my first visit to the Barn (capital B), Kathleen. The sweat was immensely purifying and I was honored to be welcomed into your loving lodge community. The evening spent with you, Anne and David was just delightful and I'd really like to return with my next girlfriend to savor all the power of the gorgeous natural environment. It's snowing now, and I wish I could hibernate here for awhile longer. Let me know when you'd like me to perform or host a workshop! Love, Andrew
Kathleen— The rush of waters in the stream. The fall of rain cascading in the night. Cicadas call and birds twitter. The morning sun illuminates the bower under which showers refresh. Evenings bring a relaxing bath filled with waters that leach the stress of day's activities and mellow. So rustic simplicity allows, allows for refreshment and renewal. Aware of rediscovered understanding we return more fully aware, alert and awake. The fullness of this time will always reside as a touch stone to the spark that abides within. Thank you for this moment.
Thank you for your graciousness, hospitality, humor, candor, advice, spiritualism, guidance, home away from home- Be diligent, brave in your endeavors. We all need to be, with love, John
